Contribution des communautés religieuses à l’histoire de l’archidiocèse de Sherbrooke
Pouponnière
In 1954, the nuns established the first nursery in the former home of Sir Alexander Tilloch Galt, one of the Fathers of Confederation. At the Pouponnière Notre-Dame de l'Enfant, the Dominicaines des Saints-Anges Gardiens took care of infants. In 1966, building of Mont Saint-Dominique called for relocating the nursery in the Blue house. Following a stormy controversy, the Galt House is demolished.
