Hôpital Saint-Louis de Windsor

|

In 1955, four Dominicaines des Saints-Anges Gardiens arrived from Croatia joining the first ten who came in 1953. Mgr Cabana offered them to take charge of the Hôpital Saint-Louis de Windsor, then owned by doctor Dominique Lambert. The first nuns to have served there were Sisters Ignace Matija Bojanic, Hozana Marija Kljaic and Ladislas Manda Rakuljic. These four nuns lived in the attic of the hospital for three years before finding lodging in town. In 1957, doctor Lambert sold the building to the Corporation de l'Hôpital Saint-Louis de Windsor. The sisters continued to worked there until 1962.
